How many people do you need to make a group?
A group is considered to be 16 people (8 cabins based on double occupancy) A group does qualify for special pricing and amenities. Discounts and amenities for groups vary by cruise lines and sailing chosen. Our cruise consultants can work with you to advice of the different options available to your group.
Are there any benefits to booking a cruise for our group?
Yes there are benefits for your group such as reduced deposits, onboard coupon books, cabin upgrades, shipboard credits, wine packages and free staterooms. All our groups are individually tailored to take advantage of the group amenities that are best suited to your group.
What are some of the groups you have worked with in the past?
There are a wide range of corporate and leisure groups that we have had the opportunity to work with in the past. The most common corporate groups are company travel incentive programs, convention and meeting groups and corporate retreats. The most common leisure groups are family reunions, anniversary celebrations, church groups, charitable organizations and hobby clubs such as naturalists and photography clubs.
Are there group discounts for certain associations?
Further group discounts or amenities may be extended to Airline Employees, Fed Ex or UPS Employee, Credit Union Member, Travel Clubs, American Express Platinum Card Holder, MasterCard Holder, Visa Card Holder, Wholesale Club, Costco Member, Public Service Employee, Educator, Military or retired Military and Seniors (age 55 plus years). Discount programs are not combinable and our cruise consultants will ensure that you take advantage of the maximum savings program for your group and sailing.
Can we arrange private functions onboard for our group?
Private meeting rooms and some of the public lounges can be reserved exclusively for your group. You can either host a cocktail party or have a meeting onboard – the choice is yours. Cruise ships offer conference facilities with all types of business equipment to suit your conference requirements.
How are group reservations made?
Simply contact one of our experienced group cruise counselors for an initial consultation and we will negotiate with the cruise lines to offer you an attractive package for your group. We handle all the individual reservations and will update you weekly on cabins that have been booked.
When should group reservations be made?
For Alaska sailings the further in advance that you can make your cruise reservations the better pricing, cabin selection and amenities that will be available for your group.
