Which cruise lines are considered luxury cruise lines?
The cruise lines most associated with luxury cruising are Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Silversea Cruises and Crystal Cruises. For the 2007 Alaska season Regent Seven Seas Cruises will be offering 7 night one way cruises from Vancouver and Seward, Alaska as well as a limited number of Vancouver roundtrip cruise departures.
What is included on a luxury cruise?
All meals in a variety of restaurants offered in open seating style – dine when you want and with whom you want, daily onboard entertainment (broadway shows, lecturers, etc…), shipboard gratuities, in-suite bar set up, complimentary beverages throughout your cruise (Regent Seven Seas and Silversea Cruises) including alcohol, complimentary room service, butler service (selected suites) and guest to staff service ratios among the highest in the cruise industry.
What is the dress code on board luxury ships?
Shipboard attire ranges from Country Club casual to informal to formal. Country Club casual (resort style attire) is appropriate for daytime on board or ashore. Shorts are not appropriate after 6 p.m. in any of the public rooms or lounges. Evening attire can be Country Club casual, informal (sport coat and tie recommended), or formal (black tie optional).
Are children welcome on board luxury ships?
Yes children are welcome onboard and a variety of programs are available to suit all ages. Child fares vary depending on cruise line and sailing dates and some Alaska dates for 2007 are offering children sail free. Ask your cruise consultant for applicable sailing dates.
What is there to do onboard a luxury ship?
You can do as much or as little as you like. Onboard activities range from pools, whirlpools, spa treatments, Broadway style shows, guest lecturers, jogging tracks, shuffleboard, international duty free shopping, Bridge programs, youth programs, nightclubs, casino and shore excursions seminars.
